Description

Structured light scanners project a pattern of light and dark shapes onto an object. They use cameras to measure how this pattern changes as it moves across an object. We have two of these scanners. The Creaform 20 is for smaller objects and the Creaform 50 for larger specimens.

Our Creaform structured light scanners include the extra Colour module. This means that captured 3D models also include photorealistic texture information, for visually faithful archiving and for appealing communication.

The scanners are easily portable for use in the 3D Vis Lab, elsewhere in the Museum, or offsite. However, the target object must remain still during scanning.

Depending on the object’s shape and appearance, the use of adhesive target dots may be necessary.
